Camila Girardelli

Camila Girardelli is a Brazilian photographer who divides her time between New York City and France. 

She has worked with world-renowned artists and filmmakers including Helmut Newton, Vik Muniz, Jørgen Leth, Ellen Von Unwerth, among others.

In 2010 Camila was hired as a still photographer for the documentary  OSCAR nominated  documentary, “WasteLand” featuring Vik Muniz. The documentary won the WORLD CINEMA AWARD at the Berlin Film Festival, Sundance among others.

Most recently Camila has been developing an artistic project that creates a dialogue between BAROQUE painting and photography. The dramatic essence of Baroque is reinvented with modern elements and interpreted by children. Her images honor the masters of the past, connecting the classical and the contemporary, creating new forms of expression.
