Eleanor Miller

Eleanor Miller’s painting reflects her observation of nature and the creatures that share this planet with us. She is inspired by farmland that surrounds her Connecticut studio.

This affinity with the natural world is always evident in her ethereal oil paintings.

She is interested in images that discuss life’s continuing process and the mystery of its evolution.

For Miller, nothing in nature is arbitrary; everything has a purpose connected to survival and procreation of a species. She searches for the balance in how we fit into the scheme in the modern world while we cohabitate with nature.

Miller received her BFA from Connecituct College and studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Eleanor Miller has exhibited widely throughout the U.S. and is in numerous public and private collections.
